Not Human - Elegant Slims
Crack in the seams, you're breaking through
The animal inside of you
Not human anymore
You're not human anymore

Snakes - Miyavi & PVRIS
Know the crime you committed
I forget not forgive it
Don't you dare get it twisted
I'm nice but I can get wicked

Levitating - Dua Lipa
Glitter in the sky, glitter in my eyes
Shining just the way I like
If you're feeling like you need a little bit of company
You met me at the perfect time

When my mind is running wild
Could you help me slow it down?
Put my mind at ease
Pretty please

Villain - K/DA

You know I'm the type
Type to risk my life
Not afraid to die

Everything at once

It's not easy having a malevolent shapeless monster
hanging over your head, but there it is!

Mask

Striking Looks 1: Shapely

Nebulously mid-twenties, skewing sometimes to the younger side and sometimes to the older, Rachel is a 5'4" hottie. She has a strong nose and nice cheekbones, dark brown eyes with thick lashes, and full lips. Her dark brown hair is full and thick with a natural wave, and her skin is light and mostly clear. She carries herself with confidence, and sometimes with excitement, not afraid to be expressive. She has an hourglass body-shape, and sleek athletic muscle glides under her skin.

She often dresses casually, and with respect to the weather. Multiple piercings dot her ears in a hint of punk styling, and bangles and wristbands often adorn her arms, and rings her fingers. Around her neck hangs a silver hamsa on a black cord. Tasteful makeup shadows her eyes, accentuates her cheekbones, and paints her lips a matte pink.

She often carries her bag, a messenger-style number, studded with pins and buttons and badges. Most of them advertise allegiance to various Scifi and Fantasy properties, though some are political statements, and one is the lesbian pride flag. It's a good bet her laptop is in the bag, along with all manner of other things.

Mein

Summer Mantle 3: A sensation like a small reprieve from an oppressive strain; sweltering on a hot day but licking a popsicle, hot shade's escape from a punishing sun. Relief, but with inescapable knowledge that the heat is still there, still oppressive.

Rachel's shadow is darker than normal, and seems to writhe as if composed of shifting shapes, sometimes sprouting unusual appendages or even eyes shining out of the darkness. Her other fae traces often change from one day to the next; twisted talons growing from her fingers, extra eyes blinking out from strange places on her body, symbols traced into her skin in ink or metal, pointed ears and teeth, feathers, fur, etc.

History

Generational trauma taught Rachel that Bad Shit happens. That it could and might even happen to her. She just figured it would be Nazis or homophobes, not the Gentry. (Can you blame her? Look at this country!) Not that she knew what to call her Keeper until after she emerged from the Hedge in Chicago, two thousand miles from home and six years later. Fortunately, as there had been previously in her life, there were other trauma-survivors around her that could give her the vocabulary she'd need to put a name to the things that violated her. And the weapons she'd need to start fighting back.

It's been about a year. She's in contact with her parents again. She's taking some college classes, trying to finish that degree that got interrupted by her abduction. She's got a good job, and an apartment, and a car. And people who care about her. And she's been learning and fighting and living as best she can. Because that's truly the best revenge, right? Well, maybe so. But Rachel's still gonna get her shots in. Living well doesn't mean you have to let your traumatizer live without consequences. Living well can mean justice too, and Rachel intends to have it.

RP Hooks

Changeling - One of the Lost, touched by the Wyrd whether she likes it or not.

Summer - Court of the Iron Spear, Rachel's strong summer mantle shows her dedication to Wrath and fighting back against the Gentry. She has also built some Goodwill with each of the other Seasonal courts for displaying an understanding and appreciation of their core emotions and goals.

Nerd - Say that with pride. Rachel's got a love of fantasy, scifi, cartoons, anime, video games, all sorts of stuff. She regularly creates and wears impressive cosplay outfits to events and conventions, and organizes with fellow cosplayers and geeks. She has a job at a local computer repair shop, and is studying programming.

Jewish - Mostly secular. Not like she keeps kosher or anything, but she's a born and enthusiastic member of the tribe.

Fitness - Rachel puts in the work to look as good as she does when she wears all those revealing cosplay outfits. She's also dabbled in various martial arts, and is a visitor at local gun ranges.
