Description
Naturally brown hair is most often dyed jet black, occasionally streaked with less natural shades, in sharp contrast to brilliant blue eyes. While Aideen is something of a chameleon, skilled enough with makeup and wigs to change her appearance significantly if she desires, she does have a default style when she is just being herself.
That dark hair is worn long and straight, past her shoulders when it's loose and hanging almost to the middle of her back. Smooth, pale skin speaks to some kind of European heritage in her ancestry, probably north or eastern countries, and is usually contrasted with bold red lipstick or dramatic eye makeup. A tattoo at the base of her skull - actually hidden under her hair line so it's invisible unless you get close - reads "Do not go gentle" in an elegant caligraphy script; it's a reminder to herself as much as anything else. Her clothing style tends towards casual when there's no good reason to dress up, near skin tight jeans tucked into calf length boots and either a thigh length tank top or an oversized sweater depending on the weather.
If she is going somewhere to fit in she does so with style, Aideen's wardrobe is varied and would be the envy of many a theatre costume department - or it was until she had to leave her previous home in a hurry. Still she knows enough about people and social circles to fit in to most of them with just a few tweaks to her clothing or makeup.
Aideen's personality is hard to pin down because she has a habit of keeping people at arms length until she has made a decision about their place in her life. She seems cold but there is something beneath that facade and she will go out of her way to help someone she considers a friend. Resting bitch face doesn't quite fit her, the smirk hovering about her lips manages to suggest that she is both amused at the world around her but very much above it. When she speaks there is a trace of cajun drawl in her voice, as though it is somewhere she has spent enough time to pick up hints of an accent but not where she was born and raised.
History
Aideen had a pretty rough childhood and adolescence, bouncing around both the foster and the justice systems until she ran away from her last group home at around 16. She fell in with a group that had made their own little family and learned the fine art of the long con from them, from there she moved around a little, made herself some money and carved out a niche. With a little determination she even managed to graduate college even though no one was there to watch the ceremony.
In her early 20s Aideen fell headlong into the world of politics, intrigue, and survival that surrounds vampires and their retainers. She was 'adopted' by a protector but rather than being ghouled her vampiric lover kept the mortal in her original state. It transpired that Aideen had some rather useful skills for someone around the undead, an ability to talk down someone wrestling with their Beast as well as apparently some rather rich blood. Recently she lost that protector, someone decided that they wanted to acquire the potential bargaining power that access to Aideen might provide and chose to do that by violence. Having watched her protector torn apart and mostly devoured, the woman fled the scene and hid until dawn made it safer for her to move around. She fled north and didn't stop running until she hit the shores of Lake Michigan three days later - now it's time to rebuild.

- Sheep among wolves - Aideen is a mortal, one with some interesting talents perhaps but still essentially a source of food with no way of defending herself, and yet she hangs out with vampires.
- Con artist - She's a criminal, a fairly skilled one, who runs long cons as well as being pretty skilled at picking pockets and breaking in to places she is not supposed to be.
