She was originally young, unrestrained and enthusiastic, and she loved theater and good meals and celebrations. She had a family - two mothers and two fathers and three siblings between them all.

They were an artist- of sensations, of experiences, of situations. And their newest piece would have sight, sound, sensation, even taste. And so they found something bright and determined and directionless that knew how to set things just so, and polished away the dull, ugly, unnecessary portions and melted the rest, and poured it over jewels and flowers and stone and shivering flesh, laughing as they sent it flowing through the garden, always rushing about obstacles, bubbling soft against mud and almost tinkling as it poured over sparkling treasures.

It was a river, a brook, a canvas they could place their other art in and watch the play of light and color and how long anything could remain intact in its waters. It was a river, a rapids, a soundscape to sway the mood the way they wished…once they knew how to keep the right paths, the right pace, but the Groundskeeper knew so many ways to make sure it stayed the course they set.

But one day, long since they had moved to other projects and other works, two fled and freed Winter’s breath, and the waters crackled and froze, and as it froze, it remembered that it hadn't always been everywhere - and once it too had form. And so before it froze entirely, it gathered as much as it could in one spot, until it remembered it was a her, and it held herself tightly, and when the Hunters came she shattered free.

Now

Currently going for her associates (and maybe bachelor's) in music years after getting her GED, Maya's a busker who has shown up on the streets of Chicago, thriving in the active music scene while also struggling to make a living with the fewest amount of obligations to the fewest amount of people.

That said, she's fairly relaxed and quite willing to go with the flow, often far more casual than perhaps she should be, and isn't known to be subtle (or tactful). She's just this guy, you know?

Music:	New to music, but highly enthusiastic, and willing to learn a little bit about almonst any instrument.
New to X:	Honestly if someone's made something sound even vaguely appealing she'll at least try it once.
Traveling Busker:	In the last 12-16 months she's been around a lot of the east/east-midwest of the US, making money and learning new things. We met before?
Feel the Beat:	Maya doesn't just busk, she also plays at clubs - if given the chance. And, frankly, just enjoys the club vibes.
