Background
Born and raised in Illinois, he was an above-average student who earned his way into a prestigious scholarship at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, where he graduated with a Masters in Criminal Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Law. After that, it was an entry-level gig at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, serving for only six months before taking up an assignment to the Behaviorial Analysis Unit's Group Four, studying and profiling for Crimes Against Adults, and working with the VICAP unit, until his summary dismissal. Six months later and he wrote a book, "Fiend in the Basement", which sold a whopping eighty-seven copies. Since then, he has lived in Chicago, seeking to absolve himself of several layers of failure.

The Alleged Book
Focuses on the long-since dormant case of Midvale, Ohio's one and only serial killer, Darren Wynack-Smythe, active between 1890 and 1891, claiming three kills - all of them dairy farmers in their mid-50s. Captured on his way to the courthouse to pay a fine for loitering, he was taken into custody and placed on trial within the week. Sixteen witnesses against him were arranged and gave testimony, providing an open-and-shut case - his aunt, Esther Mae Wynack-Smythe, had long touted after his ninety-six minute deliberation-to-conviction trial that he was railroaded by a power-mad prosecutor and a "hanging judge" with delusions of angelic authority.
The book details the goings-on of the local community of Midvale, OH, inclusive of its annual Rubber Tree Ceremony, the lighting of the town's last remaining elm grove to make way for a never-appearing corn museum, and a visit by the then-Assistant Secretary of the US Navy, James R. Soley, who described the town of as being "probably in Ohio". In short, the book covers the dullest-known trial of what constitutes the bare-minimum requirement for a serial killer, with a minimal amount of intrigue surrounding the case and zero friction provided by the deeply-lenient judge, the Hon. Jerrod Price-Porter, formerly the advocate of the Anabaptist-Amish coalition in Ohio, and a former Amish legal scholar, as well as the prosecutor, Edmund Lairdmore, formerly of the Chicago League of Lawyers' Ethics Commission.
It sold eighty-seven copies and the remainder of them are in the custody of the author.

Des Roc ~ This Is Our Life
- Does the sight of a grave make ya feel all alone?
- We’re all right we’re okay, face a fear the unknown
- What’s it like to be brave when a tear start to flow
- This is our life
- This is when no one else will listen to ya
- This is our life
- This is when everyone is vicious to ya
- I gotta keep these dreams locked in my cage
- Lies, we keep teaching on every single page
