Description
Built up to replace the business and warehouse districts devastated in the 1871 fire, the Mag Mile has become a place of luxury. Boasting a dense concentration of expensive department stores and hotels, it's also home to several large banks. The rent on the Magnificent Mile is some of the highest priced in the country, and the shops and eateries present are a reflection of that wealth.
Transport through the district is aided by the Red Line 'L'.
