Undercity South Side Fires Plot part 3 continued: The Swarm Pack leads an expedition down into the Undercity with a group of accorded allies to work on suppressing the fires and the spirits that spread them. Replying to the Undercity Prince, Tillo Protz, who is looking for hands to help put out remnants of fire that he and his can't reach without risking final death or causing more problems. On the way, they find a fight and a new portion of the wound that's opened up. |
+----+ Spider +----------------------------------------------------------------+ Just recently the group stopped to witness a pack of Beshilu attacking a smaller bunch of Azlu in an alley not far from the steet. Talk about startling, it was a new rip in the gauntlet, apart from the main area they had been exploring in the wound. Quickly the companions stopped and went to work, helping to easily murder the few Azlu that were trying to fight and close up the rip. Then the companions turned to take out the Beshilu, but they fled through the rip and into the Shadow. So the companions chased and continued the fight there. Skein had just told them she heard something coming and it sounded 'bad' but that that means is anybody's guess. Now they are fighting in the Shadow while a loud noise, like a low level earthquake approaches. From somwhere on the physical side they can hear the voices of their packmates shouting 'HURRY UP' and 'GET OUT'. It is faint due to distance and it sounds kind of like hearing through a thin layer of water. +----+ Sun Dec 04 18:29:24 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Five +------------------------------------------------------------------+ Five had been one of the first to jump into the fray. In combat, she tends to leap first before asking questions. But, Skein's words remain at the front of her mind. The mortal positions herself in the middle of the supernaturals as best as she can, knowing she's very squishy compared to the werewolves. Looking over toward the others, she frowns briefly as she glances around. "Should we... get out of here? Uh, how do we get out of here?" she questions, because this is her first trip to any sort of other side! Still, she prepares herself for a hot exit. Literally. Howling back to the pack he moves to the tear that leads back to the physical world and huffs a soft growl of a sound to the others to show Five and the rest of the group its the way back. In the howl, he was calling for Tilly to meet them on the physical side of that tear to make sure they're safe on the way out. +----+ Sun Dec 04 18:44:26 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Firefly +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Once the sound registers to Firefly she whips her head away from the smoldering, writhing monstrosities before turning back to the Wound and beginning to extricate herself at high speeds. She opens up with a sprint and begins to hustle her ass back to that gate for fear of being stuck on this side -- or worse! +----+ Sun Dec 04 18:47:41 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Tilly +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ Hearing Seth's howl, Tilly - who maybe was attending to other matters or scouting - comes running back. She, too, is in her near-wolf form, a big, dire, creature with big ears and even bigger fangs. Growling, she pads on in, circling around the group, sniffing, bristling with both caution and eagerness to fight. +----+ Sun Dec 04 18:55:45 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Spider +----------------------------------------------------------------+ Outside of the shadow Tilly is doing her thing and seeing what she sees. INSIDE the Shadow the group is standing off against several Beshilu still, and one of them is as big or bigger than a damn Crinos. The Beshilu are pausing, watching to see what the group does, but the big one is sneering as if he knows something they do not. +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:01:40 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Five +------------------------------------------------------------------+ Five has seen Firefly, who she's totally looking at with big googly eyes because she's never ever met anyone else that can wield fire, do her thing and glances her way as they're all making their way out of the hisil. Want to make a big fire together so they can't follow us out?" +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:03:25 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Firefly +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Firefly was definitely a vampire, or something, which might be why it is so surprising that she ends up shifting into Dalu form as the frenzy is reigned in. A bit of her true face peers through the hybrid's seeming but she manages to fight it back down and turn in time to nod to Five. "Let us buy the others time then." +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:08:33 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Laughs-at-Death +-------------------------------------------------------+ Laughs-at-Death can't communicate with the others in this form but from his body language at the tear its clear he doesn't want to step out until the others are through. Growling he watches Five and Firefly then turns to howl out to Tilly what's happening within, letting her know he's waiting for them before guarding their retreat. +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:09:54 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Tilly +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ Tilly answers Seth with a howl, one of those sounds that communicates even without words - watch your back. She tries to headbutt one of the others on the physical side - alerting them to something coming their way - but she's too dignified to paw or whine, just headbutt, insistently. After a moment of assessment of what's going on in the shadow, she decides she's better suited in there, protecting the others adn potentially going after the Beshilu, so she charges in, snarling. +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:17:37 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Spider +----------------------------------------------------------------+ In the Shadow ... as the group is trying to get out, Firefly and Five turn quickly and drop a meteor (okay not really but looks like it) on the Beshilu. An inferno errupts in the middle of them and the entire group tries to scatter. Most of them, well they don't make it. Have you ever smelled burned fur before? Well if not, now you have. One of them barely jumps out of the way. The biggest one isn't quite as lucky, it gets crispy, but as it does the entire 'sack' of flesh that is charred bursts open. Hundreds of smaller rat spirits come pouring out and try to run away and hide. She cries out. "Incoming!" She says, seemingly frightened. She tries to lift her voice that so that everone nearby can hear. Five has to fight herself to not stop and admire the beauty of the inferno that her and Firefly created. Those bright green eyes of hers are WIDE, but not in fear but fascination. Still, she keeps managing to RUN with the others. She sprints like an olympic athlete, not really but definitely like a young woman panicked about the bomb that just exploded behind her and is probably going to start coming their way fast. +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:33:48 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Laughs-at-Death +-------------------------------------------------------+ Laughs-at-Death waits and watches, bumping lightly shoulder to shoulder with Tilly as she steps on to this side of the tear into the shadow. Nodding towards Five and Firefly he barks out a laugh as the fire drops and the rats scatter, when the smaller ones explode out he calls out in the first tongue << Come on, let's go! If she can, she'll snap at one of the scattering rat spirits and try to brab it her mouth so she can shake it violently back and forth, all while growling, menacingly, as if to warn the other scattering rats what she'll do to them. +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:44:57 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Tilly +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ Mid-shake, Tilly spots the Beshilu attempting to retreat. She makes her decision in a split second, leaping and bounding toward it, making the attack. She'll attempt to pounce it and rip it open with those big, gnarly claws of hers. +----+ Sun Dec 04 19:54:54 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Spider +----------------------------------------------------------------+ It is pure chaos while fire is erupting, rats are scurrying, some are trying to get OUT of the Shadow and Tilly runs IN to the Shadow. She finds the rest of the group heading out, but spots one of the last Beshilu in tact, only slightly burned. Tilly pounces it and begins to rip it open, sending entrails flying everywhere. It gives a feeble death rattle and expires. The uglier, dirtier, gritier reflection of the Undercity here on this side of the Gauntlet is an even worse labyrinth. The rat spirits that burst from the big one are gone in seconds... Meanwhile in the Physical realm they can hear automatic gunfire now. They can hear the rumble of that massive flood of rodends; REAL ones, as they nearly reach the jagged rip in the Gauntlet. They are only rats, right? What harm can they do? +----+ Sun Dec 04 20:03:00 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Firefly +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Firefly explodes out of the rip in the Gauntlet just in time to hear automatic gunfire. "Fucking always something," she says while looking *hungry* enough to slaughter and devour the first thing with a beating heart. Her eyes search around for the unlucky victim and she can hardly do anything else but think about quenching that unholy thirst! The mortal isn't sure /what/ Firefly is, but, she already views her as AWESOME. Then she sees the signs of a vampire frenzying. Then she's grabbed. Five doesn't resist, knowing her fire buddy is probably hungry, but, she manages to stave off the effects of the Kiss momentarily. Once the vampire grabs and bites her, she does her best to keep a clear head. "Just... get me out of here and we're cool," she tells Firefly, grabbing onto her a little bit just to ensure she's not left behind. +----+ Sun Dec 04 20:24:55 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Spider +----------------------------------------------------------------+ As soon as they reach the physical world, hurrying through the tear in the gauntlet the group will find pandemonium has taken hold. Here the swarm of rats are in the middle of warring with a swarm of locusts and a swam of spiders. If some person right off the streets walked in on this mess, they might just shit their pants. It appears the locusts and spiders are just holding back the rats long enough for their pack and friends to get to the vehicles to make a run for it. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean nothin' by it shuga. You'll be alright, it's...just hang onto me and don't let go." There's nothing but shame all across those features as she carries the other pyro to the van and settles her on the seat. The wound on her neck had already sealed thanks to the unique properties of vampire saliva, or whatnot, but Firefly is not leaving her side. +----+ Sun Dec 04 20:41:53 2022 +----------------------------------------------+ +----+ Tilly +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ Fire is raging. Shifters are all up in each others' business like some sort of Biblical plague. Those outside - Spider, Skein, and Locust, are likely smart enough to have gotten in the van once they make sure the others are within reach of it. Five and Firefly have some sort of Whitney Houston-Kevin Costner thing turned Twilight going on. Tilly and Seth are chuffing at each other, back and forth in their mother-tongue, garou-ese. She's likely complaining that there are Beshilu guts in her fur. Spotting the plague full on, Tilly does pause for a moment, assessing whether she could kick ALL their asses, Jay and Silent Bob style. But, following the others, and likely on Seth's sound advice (probably coupled with shouts from those in/getting into the van), she huffs, then bounds in on all fours along with Seth.
