The young woman you are looking at is petite, falling shy of five feet when barefoot, and has a figure that is both fit and slender at the same time. Her shoulder-length, chocolate-brown hair is often worn down, flowing around her shoulders in loose waves and framing her face. Bright, jade-green eyes, an aquiline nose, high cheekbones and a narrow chin below her thin lips which have a peaked Cupid's bow shape make up her features along with her pale golden tanned complexion.
Her attire can vary but is almost always decided upon for comfort.
Mein
This petite young woman is a Beast. Pointed, cat-like ears peak out of her hair high up on the sides of her head and the pupils of her jade-green eyes are often seen to be slits as well. Additionally, there's the occasional feather that will fall from her hair when she shakes her head or runs her fingers though it.
History
Cordelia Anne Tanzer was born on February 18th, 2001 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, to a family with a strong history of military service: her grandfather saw action in the Vietnam War and was in Asia when his son, Cori’s father (who served in the Gulf War a decade before she was born), was born. She has an older brother who is serving in the Navy as well.
Her family moved to Cook County, Illinois, during the summer before she started high school at Glenbrook North High School. There she participated in a variety of athletics and was a member of the school newspaper club. After high school she went on to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Hooks
- Changeling: Cori is one of the Lost, specifically a Beast of the Helldiver Kith.
- Oddly Timelost: Unlike most Changelings, Cori was taken and escaped simultaneously from the perspective of a hypothetical outside observer. Sure, she was gone for years subjectively but objectively she was able to witness the last moments of her kidnapping by her keeper. This could be sensed by certain powers and make her seem interesting to certain parties.
- Journalism: Cori's on record as a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in journalism.
- Parkour: Cori's history of athleticism is currently being expressed in an interest in parkour and free running.
- Homeless: Cori is currently homeless, alternatively staying in shelters or spending the night in parks within the city.
Relationships
- Her Family (NPCs): Cori's parents and younger sister still reside in Northbrook, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago proper. Her elder brother serves in the US Navy. None of them know of her current condition and still think that their daughter, their sibling is attending college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Cori has no idea how her family will react to the change or to the existence of her fetch.
- Her Fetch (NPC): Cori's fetch, while not technically alive, is both animate and extant. While she has never encountered it, Cori witnessed it's creation and is sharply aware of its continuation in this world.
- Nona Toft (NPC): A professional investigative reporter who met Cori in 2018 when the then high school journalist brought an unpublished expose about her high school football team's widespread use of steroids: Toft got the official byline while Cori was taken under the older woman's wing.
- Rune: Alyssa Jameson, or Ajay as Cori calls her, and Cordelia met at a Track & Field summer camp hosted at LSU in the summer of 2015 (between middle and high school) where they became fast friends. Having kept in touch over the years they were both surprised to meet in Chicago where they are rekindling their friendship (as seen here).
- Ben: Benedict Pearson was the first Changeling Cori met since her escape. The doctor seemed helpful and gave her his card, she's curious to see what comes from this meeting.
