Description

Life could have been kinder to him, but it wasn't in the cards. The most outstanding feature of this ugly man is the brutal scar splitting his lips. It's not his only significant scar; he has another one that looks like he was viciously clawed in the face. Giantism has caused that face to be misshapen, with one of his cheekbones far more prominent than the other. He has a full head of dark hair, but that hair is thin and wispy. His eyes are a pale blue and reflect light easy, giving them a bright color that doesn't at all detract from his overall gloominess. He's already a big, burly man, but he carries himself like he's twice his height and weight. The muscles that he's wrapped up in aren't the kind that were built to please aesthetically, instead built entirely for strength. He's huge, standing an inch or two over seven feet, and he's nearly as wide as he is big, a rarity of men with his condition.

History

Even before his Embrace, Kenny Bower was a man of violence. He's still virtually a neonate, but he's been soaked in blood his whole life, and much of what came after, too. The savage who killed him brought him back because none of its victims fought harder than he did. He's from Boston and the Irish mob there still knows his face, misshapen, and the bodies his maker left behind, torn limb from limb. They think it was Bower, and why wouldn't it be? He's a freak of nature and always has been, a simple-minded monster sentenced to death for putting his hands on the boss' daughter. And the praxis of Boston know his face, too, one of the most effective Hounds they've ever turned loose, a savage through and through, harder to kill than most vampires his age. They were unhappy to see him go but his maker was always someone who left messes in their wake, anyway, and that entity has disappeared, too. Maybe the monsters in Chicago will deal with it.

RP Hooks
  • Vampire: In a more perfect world, Bower would have been taken into Arcadia and made into an Ogre, or he would have been one of the few destined to become one of the Uratha, guarding our world from threats beyond it. Instead, he was killed and reborn under the watchful eye of a Gangrel. Why anyone would make a creature so incapable of stealth into a predator is anyone's guess.
  • Boston: In life, Bower went to Boston and became an enforcer for the Sullivan outfit, an IRA-turned-mob organization that he broke legs and painted houses for. In death, he was an enforcer for Boston's Sheriff, a Hound who tracked down lawbreakers so that the Sheriff could bring them to the Kindred's brand of justice. If you've been around there, strong chance you too know Bower.
  • Giantism: Bower's huge. No, really. While there are certainly stronger creatures out there than him, his sheer physical presence is one of his defining traits. He's as wide as he is tall (hyperbole, but you'd be hard-pressed to blame anyone for it), but the defect shows itself in his gait, his too-deep voice, and his misshapen head. Bower's size is often an inconvenience to him.
  • Brawler: Bower's not the kind who spars, not anymore. When he fights, it's always out of aggression, whether to defend himself or to feed. His looks and his abilities make it difficult for him to find prey the fun way, and so he often has to feed violently and be careful not to reveal the Kindred in doing so. If you're looking for a fight, you can try your luck with the giant.
  • Gunslinger: Just because he's massive doesn't mean Bower can't shoot. He was a gangster in life, and the always-armed philosophy has outlived him. Bower can always be found with a gun on his person, and if he thinks his big hands and bulk can't solve a confrontation, he's not shy about just pulling and shooting. Feel free to shoot him, or find him at a shooting range that's open at night.
