Spirits: As an Ithaeur that means he literally is never alone. Of all the auspices, the Ithaeur undergoes the most drastic change between human life and his new existence as Uratha. Before, even if he believed in spirits, he didn’t see them on a regular basis. Now they are everywhere. Everything has a spirit, and every spirit is hungry. He has become comfortable with that, because nowhere in Flesh or Shadow is without spirits. The crescent moon, therefore, embraces his many companions, includes and acknowledges them, and does his best to live in accordance with their laws. To do otherwise is disrespectful, and disrespecting spirits can be fatal. Spirit Hunter: The Ithaeur is an advisor and something of a kook. He is a hunter, and his prey doesn't feel pain or bleed. Sometimes it doesn’t understand "death" at all. Lodge: The Lodge of the Screaming Moon seeks to master fear itself. Fear is weakness, and weakness is unacceptable. The true predator does not hesitate before even the most awful of prey. Adherents work to purge themselves of fear, to turn themselves into apex predators beneath whom all other horrors of the night must quiver and shake. Screaming Moon banshees as they are called, take creatures of fear and terror as their sacred prey. Fear-spirits and their Claimed, sadistic serial killers, phantasms that literally scare people to death, and other such horrors are all holy quarry for the Lodge.
