West Ridge
Description
Welcome to West Ridge Park, AKA North Roger's Park, AKA North Town, AKA Ridgeville. Unlike other villages annexed by Chicago in the 19th century, West Ridge Park did not grow significantly until well into the 20th century, especially, ironically enough, during the depression. Today however, almost half of the population are foreign immigrants settling into the area, with a significant Jewish community present as well. Besides the occasional shop and light commercial, this area is primarily an up and coming residential neighborhood, reflecting the recent population movement to the quieter suburbs of Chicago.
