Description

This area contains a park of the same name, stretching east-west from Cottage Grove Avenue to the Dan Ryan Expressway, and north-south from 51st Street to 63rd. It is home to the DuSable Museum of African American History (founded in 1961 and moved to Washington Park park in 1971). In addition to hosting the museum, the park hosts Fountain of Time, the world's earliest concrete finished art work.
