Description

Almost entirely devoted to the O'Hare International Airport, parking and services associated with transport, the O'Hare community area does yet have a small residential zone on the east side of the Catherine Chevalier Woods. The majority of residents are white with a small percentage of Hispanic families as well. Most of housing is made up of small apartment blocks and twin unit houses, with moderate rent values thanks to the constant noise from the airport.

Places of interest beyond O'Hare International include the Consulate-General of the Dominican Republic and the worldwide headquarters of a number of businesses such as Lafarge and U.S. Cellular. On a smaller scale, the area also has a McDonald's and 7-Eleven to serve local residents.

As one might expect for an international transport hub, this area is served well by local bus and train services, as well as the blue 'L' line.
