Description

An upper-middle class neighborhood full of detached homes and green spaces, North Park is home to a mix of wealthy immigrant communities from Korea and Poland and includes a significantly aging demographic thanks to North Park Village, a senior citizen housing project. In contrast, the area also supports campuses for both Northeastern Illinois University and North Park University. Businesses here are typically offering food, drink and entertainment, from a variety of cultures.

Places of note in the area include Chicago's PBS station, the two universities, and the North Park Village Nature Center which covers 46 acres of nature preserve. In addition, Albany Park library offers large collections of English, Spanish and Korean material.

There is no 'L' line stop in this district, but regular bus services aid in transit around the city.
