Description
A middle-class neighborhood in the main, Jefferson Park is home to young couples, Polish-American families and a high proportion of city and county workers thanks to the public transportation network and the Kennedy Expressway running through the district. Primarily comprising single-family homes and small apartment block, rent is modest and there are many local businesses offering entertainment and other services.
Places of note in this region include the Copernicus Center, the Office of the City Clerk and the North Branch Trail running along the river. In addition, it has a Dunkin' Donuts, and the Big Top 24hr Diner.
The area is well served for transport via the Jefferson Park Transit Center. Multiple bus companies run services from here, alongside the Blue Line 'L' service.
