He was supposed to take a promising job at a high-profile firm specializing in trial defense, but to his parents' growing frustration opted to start his own practice specializing in immigration law. A year into that practice, and he used a trust from his grandfather to endow a new community center in a decidedly unsavory part of Chicago.
