The grease that keeps the gears turning in the city, as smoothly as possible.

Conceptually, they're lifted from the John Wick movies. In practice, they're basically portable 'boons' that you can trade and negotiate with each other with. Anyone that's in the know can gain them, and people not in the know can be gifted them not knowing their real value.

Valuing them is tricky. They enter the grid from major npcs as tokens of appreciation, as bribes, payment for a service. They exit the grid in similar fashion - used to buy favors, to repay a debt, to grease the wheels that make things happen with npcs. They can also be spent for Status buys (Vampire), or get extra dice in different ways for Territory. Valuing them, pc to pc, is between the pcs. What one might see as a trivial ask, might be something near-impossible to another depending on their time, their loyalties and obligations.

Examples of use:

+- Paying for someone to clean a crime scene that the local authorities should not find.

+- Buying access to a library from an npc for research.

+- Buying training from a pc.

+- Bribing someone to help with Territory.

+- Pairing a coin to an apology to smooth over a rough interaction and add weight to the words.

... the list is only limited by the imagination, really.
