Description
Roseland was once a small Dutch settlement, but now has lost almost all of its previous simple agrarian roots as the sprawl of buildings ranging from 60's-90's aesthetics dot the area. Older churches dot the landscape, but mostly, it's filled with abandoned homes and crime. Plywood covers windows on homes that were once considered simple, but now are more accurately considered condemned. Red metal "X" signs dot houses showing them checked by an overworked fire department trying to check on houses for inhabitants.
It's a rare thing to see anyone walking around during the day. Rarer to see police. At night, the sounds of gunfire aren't too uncommon. The people, much like the buildings here, seem to be abandoned as well, and their demeanor shows it, becoming more reclusive and keeping to specific gangs or groups. It's a community necrotizing from within.
