Description
Englewood has been a very rough neighborhood since the 60s. Non-violent crime is incredibly common in the area and the people largely are wary of anyone they don't know or who isn't someone they always see. Largely ignored for most of its time in Chicago by renovation projects, blight has become an ever present issue in the neighborhood. The only real shopping to be done is at the Englewood Shopping Center, but mostly it's residents who frequent this location. Recently, though, a revitalization project has been started here, but its pace is, to say the least, glacial, and by the time it's completed, parts of it may already fallen to the decay around it.
At night, petty thievery and drugs reign supreme. No gang owns or wants this location, so all the crime's askew - the acts of desperate people for desperate needs.
